core competencies

We describe our core competencies as the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to deliver a medical service that will provide the most benefit to the patient population being served. Our fundamental competencies are our ability to provide patient-centered care, to work in interdisciplinary teams, to employ evidence-based practice, and apply continuous quality improvement in our service. Our patient care core competencies describe medical care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the treatment of health problems and the promotion of health. Our professionalism core competencies are manifested and evidenced by physicians in carrying out their medical responsibilities, adhering to ethical principles, and demonstrating sensitivity to a diverse patient population. And finally our systems-based core competencies are manifested by actions that demonstrate an awareness of and responsiveness to the larger context and system of health care and the ability to effectively call on system resources to provide patient care that has optimal value.
Beside this, we are a growing health care business with widespread presence in almost all the 14 different zones of Nepal. Moreover, we are the supplier of our own business and of our competitors as well. This means that we are only the authorized dealer who sells the medical equipments in Nepal. Therefore, such sole authority gives us the ability to win the price war in our market segment because we have the highest bargaining power. In such scenario, one of the competitive advantages we have is that we can reduce our service price and still earn profit with high margin which our competitors cannot afford. They cannot lower the price as we can. So we actually have the cost leadership in the market as well.
